Description
ProTaper built the EVO line as its flagship unbraced handlebar, dropping the crossbar so the whole bar flexes as one piece instead of fighting itself at the clamp. This Windham SX version applies that unbraced design to a low-key, comfort-first bend that works well for riders logging long motos back to back.
What makes it worth the swap:
- Unbraced design removes the crossbar so the whole bar flexes evenly and soaks up hits instead of bouncing energy back at your hands
- 7000 series aluminum alloy with a computer-profiled 4 mm wall shaves weight while independent lab fatigue testing shows it outlasting braced competitor bars
- Rated up to 25 percent lighter and 45 percent stronger than comparable braced handlebars from other brands
- Consistent wall thickness from bend to bend keeps flex predictable instead of stiff in some spots and floppy in others
- Anodized or powder-coated finish (per colorway) resists scuffing from boots, levers, and crash damage
The result is a bar that soaks up braking bumps and square edges instead of bouncing your hands off them, which matters most late in a race when your grip strength is already fading.
Every EVO bar ships from IPD Racing ready for a direct bolt-in onto oversized 1-1/8 in. clamps, with no adapters or spacers needed to get the fit right.
