Description
This EVO handlebar blends the Windham bend’s comfort with the RM Mid sweep, giving riders a middle-ground hand position that a lot of stock cockpits already resemble. It is built on ProTaper’s unbraced EVO platform, which trades the traditional crossbar for a more even, controlled flex across the whole bar.
What makes it worth the swap:
- Unbraced design removes the crossbar so the whole bar flexes evenly and soaks up hits instead of bouncing energy back at your hands
- 7000 series aluminum alloy with a computer-profiled 4 mm wall shaves weight while independent lab fatigue testing shows it outlasting braced competitor bars
- Rated up to 25 percent lighter and 45 percent stronger than comparable braced handlebars from other brands
- Consistent wall thickness from bend to bend keeps flex predictable instead of stiff in some spots and floppy in others
- Anodized or powder-coated finish (per colorway) resists scuffing from boots, levers, and crash damage
Riders switching over from a stock braced bar typically notice less numbness in their hands after long sessions, since the flex is spread out rather than concentrated at the crossbar mounts.
Because the EVO body is unbraced, standard oversized bar pads and most clamp-on accessories still mount up fine, you are only changing how the bar itself flexes, not the mounting footprint.
