Description
Two decades of Honda CR125R production means there are still plenty of these bikes on tracks and trails, and just as many stock shifters that have been bent, straightened, and bent again over the years. ProTaper’s aluminum shifter for the 1987-2007 CR125R replaces that fatigued factory part with a shifter forged from 6061 aluminum, built to handle the same kickstarts and boot impacts without slowly losing its shape. A folding tip design means the lever can flex out of the way during a hard hit rather than transferring that force straight into the shift shaft.
Features and Benefits
- Forged 6061 aluminum construction holds up better than stamped steel over time
- Folding shift tip reduces stress on the shift shaft during impacts
- Knurled grip surface gives boots better purchase for cleaner shifts
- Precise O.E.M. fitment across the full 1987-2007 CR125R range
- Simple bolt-on installation with no extra hardware needed
This shifter fits the entire long-running CR125R platform, which makes it a good part to have on hand for shops servicing multiple model years. Vintage and modern two-stroke racers alike will get a stiffer, more reliable shift feel compared to a stock lever that has been through years of use. IPD Racing carries this fitment for the full CR125R range.
