This is a 7/8 inch ProTaper SE handlebar built for riders who like a low, flat-feeling sweep, and this particular unit is finished in a clean silver anodized coat that reads as close to raw billet as an anodized bar gets, and it pairs with almost any color scheme without clashing.
The SE series earns its reputation on a short list of real construction details:
- Anodized finish resists fading and corrosion better than raw or painted aluminum, so it still looks right after a season of dirt and pressure washing.
- Crossbar clamps are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum, not stamped, which keeps tolerances tight where the pad and clamp meet the tube.
- Crossbar is bonded to the tube with an aerospace-grade polymer adhesive instead of a weld, so there is no heat-affected zone weakening the metal at the joint.
- Tube is high-strength aerospace aluminum alloy rated at 70,000 psi, so it takes hard impacts and G-outs without folding or denting like a lower-grade bar.
This low-sweep profile keeps your wrists in a more neutral position when you are hanging off the bike in corners, and it is a favorite among riders who came up on flatter bars and never want to go back. It bolts in using your existing 7/8 inch clamp setup, so there is no need to source special hardware to get it mounted.
