Description
Every rider has a bar shape that just clicks, and for a lot of YZ fans that shape is this ProTaper SE high bend. The YZ shape is a balanced, moderate rise with a wide, even sweep, which makes it a favorite with riders who bounce between tracks, trails, and everything between and want one bend that does it all. Compared to the rest of the SE lineup, it is the closest thing to an all-around bend in the SE lineup, splitting the difference between tall and flat, and this particular version adds a high bend on top of that, so the added rise gives standing riders extra room between the seat and the grips without forcing a reach forward.

The tubing itself is a high-strength aerospace aluminum alloy rated at 70,000 psi, so it takes the hits that would put a permanent bend into a cheaper 6061 blank without complaint. Riders who have cracked a welded crossbar clamp on impact will notice the difference here; the bonded-clamp design spreads load instead of concentrating it at a weld seam, which is a common failure point on cheaper bars.
