A tapered grip changes how much bar diameter sits under the palm versus the fingers, and for some riders that shift is the difference between hot spots forming on a long moto and a grip that stays comfortable the whole way through.
Installation is the traditional glue-on process rather than a cam-lock system, so have grip cement on hand and take the time to clean the bar thoroughly before sliding this one into place, especially if an old grip left residue behind.
