The MX Race bend is the ACF line’s closest thing to a do-it-all shape, built for riders who want carbon fiber reinforcement without committing to one particular pro’s exact sweep and rise. Under the bend it is the same ACF construction that made ProTaper’s carbon fiber bars notable in the first place: a unidirectional carbon fiber core sits inside the aluminum tube, which lets engineers pull material out of the wall in stress-prone areas while keeping, and in some spots improving, the bar’s overall impact resistance. Less material moving around under load generally means less vibration reaching your hands over a long moto.
