The Windham/RM Mid bend gives you a taller rise and a bit more pullback than a stock bar, which opens up room to stand and attack rough terrain without feeling cramped over the front end. This is a 7/8 inch ProTaper SE handlebar built for full-size MX and off-road riders who want a taller, roomier stance, and this particular unit is finished in a platinum gray anodized coat that sits between silver and black, giving you a neutral look that works with almost any plastic kit color.
What makes this bar worth the upgrade is the construction underneath the finish:
- 7/8 inch diameter matches stock clamps and most aftermarket clamp kits, so you are not shopping for adapters or oversize hardware.
- Crossbar clamps are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum, not stamped, which keeps tolerances tight where the pad and clamp meet the tube.
- Crossbar is bonded to the tube with an aerospace-grade polymer adhesive instead of a weld, so there is no heat-affected zone weakening the metal at the joint.
- Consistent wall thickness along the tube helps the bar flex predictably under load instead of developing a soft spot near the clamp area.
That extra height helps taller riders and anyone who spends a lot of time standing on the pegs, since it keeps your arms from folding up too tight at speed.
