ProTaper – ProTaper SE Handlebars (7/8 in.) - Windham Bend, including SE Windham/RM Mid handlebars in Silver, Red, Platinum Gray, Jet Black and Blue, built around Kevin Windham's preferred cockpit, the Windham/RM Mid shape lands between a low racing bend and a tall off-road bend, giving a mid rise with an easy sweep. Riders who feel hunched over on a low bar but vague and light on the front wheel with a high one usually find this is the compromise that finally works, and it is a favorite of trail riders who stand up often without wanting a full off-road rise. Construction is ProTaper SE: a 7/8 in. standard-diameter tube in high-strength aluminum, braced with a crossbar for stiffness so steering inputs translate directly to the front wheel instead of getting soaked up in bar flex. It is also far tougher than a typical stock bar, which is the main reason racers swap early in the season rather than after the first bent tube.
