Description
Renthal did not design this 13-tooth 520 front sprocket as a generic part; it is sized and cut specifically for the 88-08 Yamaha TTR230 / YFS 200 Blaster, where rutted trails and rock gardens is the normal, expected wear condition.
This is the grooved GP-style sprocket, so the self-cleaning channel design is built into the tooth face rather than added as an afterthought.
- Cut from through-hardened steel stock so the tooth face resists the rounding and hooking that ruins cheap sprockets after a few hard rides
- CNC cut to keep concentricity and tooth spacing consistent across the whole run, which is what actually stops a sprocket from wobbling at speed
- Grooved tooth faces shed debris on the fly, which keeps chain wear consistent even when the bike is buried in mud or loose sand
- Machined to remove excess material without weakening the tooth root, keeping rotating mass down where it matters most
- Held to strict concentricity standards so the chain runs on a true circle instead of pulsing tight and loose through every revolution
- Direct bolt-on replacement using the stock mounting pattern, no spacers or modified hardware required
- 13-tooth count on 520 chain pitch, matched to the 88-08 Yamaha TTR230 / YFS 200 Blaster front output shaft
This 520 sprocket is machined to the same bolt pattern Renthal has used on the 88-08 Yamaha TTR230 / YFS 200 Blaster across model years, so cross-reference your exact year if buying for a older or newer version. IPD Racing keeps the full 13-tooth range in stock.
