Not every bike in the shop runs a ProTaper handlebar, and the ProTaper Twister Insert for Renthal Twin exists so riders on Renthal bars do not have to give up ProTaper’s throttle tube performance. This insert adapts the Twister Throttle Tube system, built around anodized billet aluminum and a sealed radial ball bearing with a polymer bushing, to fit Renthal 7/8 in handlebars using the standard bearing insert. The result is the same smooth, low-friction throttle action pro teams rely on, just packaged to bolt into a Renthal cockpit instead of a ProTaper one.
