ProTaper builds this as part of its Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket family, developed to hold up under sustained racing loads rather than casual trail use alone. Angled Mud Grooves keep each tooth clearing itself of mud and sand while you ride, protecting the chain from the grinding that happens when debris packs in. The layout was engineered for up to 40 percent more tooth-to-chain surface area than competing sprockets, all held to tight CNC tolerances.
