PJS High-Compression Cylinder Head for Kawasaki 550 Piston-Port – domed head that cranks compression on classic 550 piston-port engines for serious power gains.
The stock 550 head is flat as a pancake. PJS’s domed head raises compression significantly, waking up the entire powerband while maintaining reliability for daily abuse.
Perfect for restored JS440/550 race skis or vintage lake toys that need more snap. Comes with 7 stainless steel head stud & 2 head gaskets so you can choose the correct compression for your application. Between 170-210 depending on cylinder, decking, porting, altitude ect (.020 copper gasket & .040 fiber gasket). The dome profile is specifically engineered for piston-port timing and the 550’s combustion characteristics.
