All Balls Racing – Shock Rebuild & Bearing Kits, including upper front shock bearing kits for the 07-14 Arctic Cat 400 FIS 4x4 TRV and 99-05 Arctic Cat 250 2x4, plus an upper rear shock bearing kit for the 18-19 Gas-Gas EC200. Each kit supplies the spherical bearing or needle bearing, inner sleeve, seals and snap ring that let a shock eye pivot without slop. That bearing is a small part doing hard work: it takes every square hit through the suspension and it sits right where mud and pressure washing collect. When it wears, the shock eye rattles in the mount, damping goes vague, the shaft loads sideways and you feel a knock over braking bumps and a rear end that steps out on landings. Fresh bearings put the shock back on its intended axis so the valving can actually do its job and the shaft seal quits leaking. Doing the shock bearing kit during a revalve or rebuild is far cheaper than replacing a scored shock body. Press the sleeve in clean, pack it with waterproof grease and it survives pressure washing.
