Bearing kits come with needle bearings, spacers and seals; seal head kits carry the seals, wipers and bushings that hold pressure in the damper body. Shock eyes and seal heads are the two places a rear end goes vague. A worn upper or lower bearing lets the shock rock in its mount, which turns into a knock over square edges and uneven damping side to side, and a leaking rear shock seal head bleeds nitrogen and oil until the shock fades halfway through a ride. Replacing the shock bearing kit restores tight, straight-line shaft movement so valving does what the clickers say and the chassis tracks instead of wallowing.
