As a Race Spec (RS) rear sprocket, it is built to the same tolerance standards ProTaper uses across its performance drivetrain lineup. A self-cleaning Angled Mud Groove design keeps the tooth profile free of packed mud, so power gets to the ground instead of getting eaten by a dirty sprocket. Because the teeth are CNC machined with a wider contact face, you get up to 40 percent more chain-to-tooth surface area than many competing parts.
