For the 2-stroke model, these tubbies allow the hull to sit a little deeper in the water while giving the hull the benefit of more aggressive turning and hook up. The tubbies allow a racer to ride harder with less fatigue.
For the new 2021 Superjet, these tubbies allow the front of the ski to feel more planted coming into the turn and allow for a more consistent feel throughout the turn and while at high speed in a straight line.
