A cracked or collapsed OEM rubber bar mount lets vibration straight through to your hands and can even throw off your handlebar alignment mid-ride, which is exactly what the ProTaper Universal Black Rubber Mount is built to fix. It is designed as a direct replacement for factory rubber mounts and is sized to accept 1-1/8 inch handlebars, so it slots into stock mounting locations without modification.
