Some riders simply want more room between the grips and their chest than a stock bend allows, and the EVO YZ High in Magnesium was shaped for exactly that preference. It uses ProTaper’s unbraced EVO platform, so instead of a rigid, gusseted crossbar you get a structure that is allowed to flex slightly under impact, taking the sting out of square-edge hits and braking bumps before they ever reach your hands. Pair the added height with the flex characteristics of the EVO and you get a bar that feels noticeably calmer on rough tracks than a stiffer, braced design.
