Carbon fiber showed up in frames, subframes, and skid plates long before anyone figured out how to put it into a handlebar without making the bar brittle, and the ACF is ProTaper’s answer to that challenge. The CR High bend in Black uses a unidirectional carbon fiber core running inside the aluminum tubing, letting engineers pull material out of the wall thickness in key stress areas without giving up strength. The result is a bar that is both lighter and better at soaking up impact than a straight aluminum design of the same size, which matters most on the exact hits that used to end a moto early.
