Singles are what you want when you have lost one or two, or when a previous owner mixed hardware and you need to make a set match again; boxes of 16 cover a full machine. Get two things right before ordering: thread size and pitch must match your studs exactly, and the seat style — flat, tapered or a machine-specific taper such as the Yamaha style — must match your wheel. A mismatched seat only contacts on an edge, so it loses clamping load as the wheel heats and settles, which is how studs get stretched and wheels get wobbly. Chrome and black finishes let you match wheel hardware, and running all identical nuts keeps load even across the mounting face.
