Fork bushings are the wear surfaces that keep the slider and tube concentric, and when the Teflon coating wears through to bronze the fork develops play you can feel as a front-end clunk on the brakes, chatter mid-corner and seals that keep weeping no matter how many times you replace them. That last part is the key: most repeat seal leaks are really worn bushings letting the tube move sideways in the slider. These fork bushing kits supply guide and piston bushings cut to the original clearance spec, so damping stays consistent and the fork strokes smoothly instead of sticking off the top.
