Each cable is cut to the length and end-fitting spec that machine needs, with a lined housing and correct barrel ends so it seats in the throttle tube and carb pulley without preload or slack. Throttle cables are a safety part before they are a performance part: a frayed strand inside the housing binds, a kinked routing holds the slide open, and a cable that has stretched past adjustment gives you free play you cannot dial out. Grit and old grease make the pull heavy, which wears out your hand on long rides and dulls the connection between your wrist and the engine. A correct new cable gives light, consistent pull, immediate return to closed, and clean response on chop-throttle corner entries. Grease the barrel ends and set free play at the perch.
